5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Transformers series, but... 6 Nov 2012
I wouldn't call myself a fan of Transformers, just someone who enjoyed the eighties cartoon as a kid and has picked up the Marvel UK comics in book form. I was bored by the lack of soul (or, indeed, story) in the cinematic Michael Bay movies but thought I'd give this DVD a try. It's absolutely brilliant! It has *characters* who are likeable, situations that are cool, and whilst it has the human audience relation characters it focuses on the Transformers first and foremost.

The only problem with this DVD is that it's just the (multi-part) pilot story: the complete series hasn't come to DVD yet. That's the one I'm itching to buy, and the *only* reason why I've not bought this one.

If you've not seen it yet, and just want to give it a try before committing to the eventual complete series release, it's superb value for money. I'd recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Really Good 29 April 2014

If you are a fan of Transformers then you should definately get this and the other DVDs that are coming out for Transformers Prime as it is a brilliant series. Even though the show has completely finished they are still really fun to watch again and again.

It's okay I guess. Tbh the three kids are annoying, especially the girl. I've seen episodes of the original cartoon series, and these Autobots and Decepticons, look identical. but they have 'humanised' them too much, with mouths and eyebrows. actually changing the 3 stars to 2. Sorry I don't like it.
