5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Transformers series, but... 6 Nov 2012
I wouldn't call myself a fan of Transformers, just someone who enjoyed the eighties cartoon as a kid and has picked up the Marvel UK comics in book form. I was bored by the lack of soul (or, indeed, story) in the cinematic Michael Bay movies but thought I'd give this DVD a try. It's absolutely brilliant! It has *characters* who are likeable, situations that are cool, and whilst it has the human audience relation characters it focuses on the Transformers first and foremost.

The only problem with this DVD is that it's just the (multi-part) pilot story: the complete series hasn't come to DVD yet. That's the one I'm itching to buy, and the *only* reason why I've not bought this one.

If you've not seen it yet, and just want to give it a try before committing to the eventual complete series release, it's superb value for money. I'd recommend!

With Peter Cullen and Frank Walker as the voices of Optimus Prime and Megatron, where can you go wrong!
Really enjoy watching it and I hope to add the other episodes to my collection SOON!!!
