Awesome looking toy.... Brought for my son's 7th Birthday and its definitely got the wow factor, if your kids like Transformer Movies then they will love this toy. After about an hour of playing with it he then decided it was time to Transform into Truck mode, 10 minutes later Dad was involved, 20 minutes later his Uncle was involved, 30 minutes later Granddad was manipulating the toy & finally Great Granddad got impatient and sorted the bloody thing out!Great Toy, requires a degree in plastic robot origami. (great granddad available for rent if required)

...how complicated is this? Beyond even the capabilities of a seven year old and I thought they could do Anything! As I left the birthday party, Dad and uncles were still trying to make it change into whatever it changes into. And when it's done I doubt that the child will be allowed to try and reverse the procedure after all the time and effort taken to get it sorted. Very impressive looking thing, but during 'transformation' a couple of bits came off which caused me near-hysteria after what it cost, but they did click back on again eventually. It'll end up sitting on the shelf looking fragile. For nimble-fingered adult enthusiasts only, I'd say....

10 year old's 'WOW' toy!,

Just bought this for my 10 yr old son's birthday and was the ONLY gift to get the 'WOW' factor. I didn't purchase from Amazon (cheaper from well known trade and public 'cost' 'company') but nonetheless he has already transformed it into the various options available using very easy to follow & detailed instructions. It is easy to manipulate, seems quite sturdy and having the trailer complete means it really does look like Optimus the Truck when not being transformed (which has the added advantage of there being no 'extra' parts to get lost under the sofa or swallowed by the vacuum - a mum's worst nightmare). Overall my son is really pleased, having wanted one for years. The age range states from 5yrs old but it would be tricky to transform for small fingers and I personally think that 5 is quite young for this toy. My younger son (nearly 9 yrs old) is now desperate for Bumble Bee so hope that performs as well as Optimus Prime!!
