The Transformers figure was delivered within two days much to the delight of my son. he had been trying to get this particular figure for some time but had ben unable to. very good buy.

I wasn't at all fussed for owning this guy, but an interesting Bionicle-esque robot mode and decent colour palette got the better of me.

Frankly, that's really what you pay your money for. The robot mode is superb, with loads of movement and articulation. His head is fixed and can't move, as you might expect on a figure that, like Sandi Tosvig, has no neck. He has many shifting panels (some of which - wait for it - are translucent red) that you can fiddle about with to achieve your desired look.

There are only two things that spoil the figure. The feeble hands are the big issue, being as flat as roadkill and hanging limply off his wrists like a Morris dancer's scarves. It really detracts from his overall menacing appearance and look best positioned forward. The second thing is the spring loaded feet. The toes bunch together unless the figure is placed on a solid surface, at which point they splay out again. I'm not entirely sure what the point of this is, having probably added a good few quid to the development costs and rrp, and its use as an action feature being questionable.

As with Soundwave, the alt mode is an after thought. You basically fold his arms and legs backwards at right angles to achieve some sort of Cybertronian spacecraft. It's not great (as you can tell, I couldn't even be bothered to Transform him) and looks like a dyslexic pretzel.
