Arcee is a born hunter. Before joining the Autobots, she passed her time tracking turbofoxes on Cybertron with some of the other speedsters. She took great pride in approaching as close as she could to them, quickly and silently, before tagging them with her bow. She's brought those skills with her to Earth, where she passes the days stalking unsuspecting Decepticons until she draws close enough to strike. Convert this Autobot figure from female robot to motorcycle and back again! She features a converting crossbow with a firing projectile in robot mode!

Arcee was one of the characters that was in early versions of the script for the Transformers movie, even to the point where designs were created for her CGI, but ultimately the idea of having to explain a female transformer (what's to explain? The robot has a female voice and personality) was considered to take up too much time.

So we were robbed of this character in the film but get a toy instead. And a very fancy toy it is. The motorbike form is very flash and cool looking. When transforming back from robot mode you have to make a bit of effort to ensure that the back wheel lines up with the front, and the motorbike isn't freestanding (of course) but it's still a good vehicle mode.

The robot mode is pretty good too. To show that this transformer is "feminine" she had more slender limbs than other robots in the range and feet that give the impression of high heels. The face isn't as pleasing as that on Bumblebee, Ratchet or Optimus, but overall it's a well thought out design that at least has some roots in the original G1 Arcee.

If I have a problem with it, it's that as a deluxe, Arcee is out of scale with the other transformers of the deluxe but also the voyager classes. But that's only a little problem.
