Brought to life by the AllSpark pulsewave released during the final battle against Megatron, Landmine is still learning what it means to be an Autobot. Landmines dune buggy form is a pretty good alt mode - He's modelled after a vehicle in the background of the film (the cynic in me thinks that all that 'allspark pulse wave' - as the box blurb puts it - was only in the film to give the manufacturers excuse to churn out toy after toy with little backstory or characterisation...). Anyway, there's loads of cool little details - like the gas canisters stacked on the back, the working shock absorbers front and back, and loads of 'Sector 7' logos, which give him at least a tenuous link to the film...

His robot mode is great too - the transformation is a pretty simple (although it might take a couple of goes to get his arms and hands back into buggy mode when you're transforming him back...) and he's got loads of funky features - like how his rear wheels become roller blades (he's mis-transformed in the pics above), or how his roof mounted cannon becomes his gun, or the buggys seats become his hands. And his face has loads of detail - almost like an ice hockey mask with loads of spider eyes behind. You probably need a magifying glass to see it all mind.

Posability is not bad either - his head and his feet are limited (but not terrible) and the rest is as you'd expect - many, many ball joints. Special mention should go to his hands - they're extremely articulated for a figure of this size.

My only concerns would be that his rear bumpers are prone to fall off during transformation (I think they're designed to, so as not to break off entirely and they're easily pushed back into place, so it's not all bad) - and there's also a couple of points where he's held together by a few spindly bits of plastic. They feel pretty sturdy, but I can't shake the feeling that little fingers could accidentally force them... ...he's not in the same 'flimsiness league' as deluxe Barricade though.

He's a little small (a bit smaller than deluxe Bumblebee) and his alt mode is not to the same scale as the other car based bots from the film - but who cares? Overall he's a decent figure - great detail, cool features and a satisfying transformation. And he doesn't have a stupid 'camera' for a head.
