Amazon are now my favourite company as they have managed to troll neckbeards everywhere. When Masterpiece Optimus Prime was announced as getting a UK release by Hasbro, a collective squeal that is normally only heard at Justin Bieber concerts was let out by over 9000 fanboys getting excited over the opportunity to buy one of the nicest Transformer toys in a long time for the price of £99.99.

When Hasbro announced it was sat in their UK warehouse in November, the internet nearly melted down in anticipation. Millions of My Little Ponies were cast aside to fund a purchase of the Autobot leader. With the Transformers fanbase hunting down info on Optimus instead of doing their usual browsing (reading Springer/Ultra Magnus slashfics and downloading porn), a million pornography websites went out of business last Thursday alone.

Amazon then strode valiantly into the picture to create the first ever Op-Roll. Firstly by creating a page with no details but only a vague description the internet collective presumed that it would indeed be the long awaited Optimus and best of all it was nearly free at only £34.99! While most UK buyers remained level headed, TFW2005 user Hosta was driven insane by the suspense and literally exploded over his keyboard in a different way to usual.

After receiving a million and one orders from outraged Americans because a toy was not being released in the Capital of the World first, Amazon upped the anti by firing up the Low Orbital Ion Cannon and pwned rednecks everywhere by not shipping to America. Either that or most American's couldn't find USA on the shipped to countries list due to the complicated spelling of "USA".

I saw this item listed at the end of December and and purchased the item without hesitation. It was reasonably priced with shipping so I was excited to finally get Masterpiece Optimus Prime. Unfortunately, AmazonUK decided that they would, instead, cancel my order along with many others. They seem to want to drive up the price to a far more unreasonable rate in an effort to make more money off an in demand item and have no intention of honoring their previous price for their customers. I and many others have no intention whatsoever to purchase this item at the increased rate nor anything else from Amazon UK in the future. This particular item was worth the price they originally listed it at and not a penny more. In my opinion AmazonUK is no different than any other toy scalper selling items for overinflated prices and should be avoided at all costs.

Amazon sent me a lovely email this afternoon telling me my order was cancelled, in a sort of 'f-you there's nothing you can do about it sort of way.' Which I think, is pretty lousy customer service.

I will no longer buy anything from Amazon. Well done, for losing me as a customer.

As the review must contain 20 words about the product, I have to say, this is THE definitve Optimus. It's a lovely toy and I highly recommend it, although the Takara coloured one is nicer. However, if it is relisted with a higher price than £39.99 on here and you buy it, after Amazon have jerked you around, you're a mug.

Thank you Amazon for such a great product. To all the fanboys who waited to buy this or tried to buy cases of them to scalp. This is what you get. All the negative reviews are hilarious. Please keep them coming.
