Star Wars and Transformers? It'll never work! Or so they said.
Ok, you look at some of the other Star Wars Transformers and they were right. Even though they're only supposed to be vague licenses of the characters they're based on, a many of them definitely leave something to be desired, with some very dubious excuses for arms and legs...
So you'd expect the Millennium Falcon, the first Star Wars Transformers combiner, to be pretty poor as well. But... it's ace. Seriously.
The pictures are already shown on this page, but don't really do the toy justice. It's a lot bigger than you think, with both figures about 9 inches tall in robot mode, and when in vehicle mode it's almost difficult to tell it's a Transformer - apart from a few tiny giveaways, the vehicle mode is pretty faultless!
Transformation is pretty satisfying, requiring a feat of Herculean strength to prize the vehicle mode in half.. the front half becomes Han whilst the back half becomes Chewbacca. Whilst I'm not a big fan of lights and sounds on Transformers - usually it just puts the price up for something I don't want anyway - here Han gives you a couple nice phrases from the movie, and it actually sounds like him, and Chewbacca.. well, does his Chewbacca thing. The detail on the figures is great, and the designers did a good job on designing robots based on their characters - it should be remembered they're not meant to be the characters themselves - you get a mini Han Solo and Chewie anyway to stick in the turret and cockpit!
Am going to dock a star for the price - £30 is pretty expensive for a single transformer (even if you get two robots out of it) - with a bit of luck it'll get discounted soon though, in which case I'd recommend it without hesitation!

Not bad value at £30..excellent value at half price! Good sound and lighting effects. Great fun!
Much better than I expected and our five year old son loves it to bits. He pestered us for several months in the run up to christmas for it and I thought it may be a little flash in the pan but he has hardly put it down in the last two weeks.
It only took us and then him about 10 minutes to work out how to do all the joint manipulations and he was quite happy doing it on his own after a couple of goes. The two halves (Chewbacca and Han Solo) join together wuite simply and the whole thing is much easier to transform that the overly complicated Death Star/Darth Vader Deluxe Transformer.
Like all transformer toys, the joints are a little liable to come apart when they are being twisted during transformation but they readily go back together with a bit of a click.
