this figure at first was tricky to transform but doesn't take long to figure out. incredible fun to transform, i had trouble putting him down :D

Skyhammer is......ok

I'm writing a review for Skyhammer cause i've went through 3 of these toys!! the first 2 had very loose joints and MECH TECH weapon that fell apart when pressing the button or trying to lock it in weapon mode. The bot mode is nice, but Hasbro poor QC issues strikes again and luckily for me i gave him a shot one more time and the 3rd time was a charm, but still his hip joints was loose, but after tighten every screw on the figure, ALL joints was tight again. I haven't transformed cause his joints may become loose again. Overall is that Bot mode is nice, alt mode well this figure may see it one day otherwise im returning him. All i can say is buy him at your own risk.

Got this from walmart and i love it but it took me a few weeks to get the transformation down but its not that hard and it was my second guy so people who have more experience will find it easier. overall a great figur and a must buy.

SkyHammer's head and feet sculpt takes me back to Japanese timeless classics such as Gundam and Macross. The blue-grey color scheme, proportions and shape of the robot are well done. Numerous points of articulation allow just about any pose you can think of.
The transformation is ingeniously engineered. Everything fits into place like a puzzle. I don't see this as being easy for young kids, but the complexity and the many moving parts are what appeal to me.
The helicopter makes me think of an AH-64 Apache blended with Blue Thunder. Love it! The details are great, such as the translucent cockpit windshield. For robot and vehicle design, this is my favorite Transformer, ever. It certainly deserves all of its five stars. SkyHammer MechTech will no doubt be a collector's item.
