I always wanted a Shockwave toy; he was my favourite character in the Marvel comics series. Now I have one!
No educational value beyond the obvious expansion of the imagination.
The transform is a bit awkward, but when you find the tab and match points it goes together well. The gun is great and the fixing points are the same size as some of the other, similar scaled Transformers, making them interchangeable between robots.

Shockwave is great! He's so solid we bought him for a christmas present for our son and hes as good as new despite being transformed atleast 8 to 10 times a day at first and charlie (my son) still plays with him everyday to this day. Shockwave is definatly the most solid of all the level 2 transformers Optimus has since had to be replaced cos hes fallen to bits due to lots of use but shockwave is still going strong!! 5 Stars no question
