Leader class Sentinel prime, this is the first leader class toy to bare the name Sentinel prime but not the first toy. Vehicle mode is a US fire truck equiped with lights and sounds, which are just a pointless nussance and only serve to make the figure heavier. Weapons, one is a double edge sword/lance which stores in his vehicle mode back with part of it folding up but that fold up part can detech but Sentinal can't hold that bit in his other hand which is a bit of a let down considering there is holes, but a figure with smaller hands that open could hold it. His other weapon, is his shield, with the push of a button, the four points open up wider, to what purpose, I don't really know but it looks cool.
Transformation is on Hasbro's reskill level 3, basically the toughest, but he's not the toughest figure around but some bits you need to get the limib just right for vehicle mode, in other words, you make a mess and then tidy up, so not for rookies. Movement, is about the same as any other figure these days thou his arms do tend to unclick while moving them about. Unlike the ROTF Optimus of the same class, Sentinal has been given hands that open up so he can grip his sword/lance thing, the weapons can go in either hands but the shield is rather loose, yet the underneath of it has pegs that let you peg it into his arm directly. His sword/lance weapon can be connected to the shield thou it looks rather silly, at the same level of sticking the shield on top of his fire truck front for some lamo weapon. The shield when not in use in vehicle mode stores directly underneath Sentinal's body.
The hose part of his firetruck mode doesn't disconnect but it can lift up and down and can do 360 rotation, in robot mode it can be lifted up over his head or beside it on either side.
Generally, he a good figure but with the movie leader TFs I have, I find their lights and sounds rather a nussance, Sentinal's siern is rather loud to the point it bugs, so I removed the batteries in mine which is quite simple to do using a screwdriver, Generally, I think he's a pretty good toy, yet could do without the lights and sounds as the equipment for them adds to the figure's weight and makes him a little top to back heavy!
