Transformers
From director Michael Bay and executive producer Steven Spielberg comes a thrilling battle between the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons. When their epic struggle comes to Earth, all that stands between the Decepticons and ultimate power is a clue held by young Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf). Unaware that he is mankind’s last chance for survival, Sam and Bumblebee, his robot disguised as a car, are in a heart-pounding race against an enemy unlike anything anyone has seen before.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
One of the most popular, thrill-packed, franchises of all time is back with even more action and more Autobots and Decepticons! In the highly anticipated Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Decepticon forces return to Earth on a mission to take Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) prisoner, after the young hero learns the truth about the ancient origins of the Transformers. Joining the mission to product humankind is Optimus Prime, who forms an alliance with international armies for a second epic battle.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Shia LaBeouf returns as Sam Witwicky in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. When a mysterious event from Earth’s past erupts into the present day it threatens to bring a war to Earth so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save us.

I have 2 of these on pre-order for my nephew and myself for christmas.

Dark side of the moon is ten pounds all by itself so having all 3 in one boxset for fifteen pounds is a complete and total bargain.

I will update the review to inform you of the special features if any that are on the discs although apart from a few audio commentary's by michael bay i dont think there are any extras, but then i never actually watch the extras i buy the dvd's for the movies themselves.

Not everyone loves transformers, im a nerd so i love them, i loved the 1st film, the 2nd one sucked and the 3rd one was fantastic and a great way to end it for now as michael bay has said he wont do anymore.

Mind you this is the decade of the reboots so dont be surprised if someone picks it up in a few years and tries it again.

For the price you cant go wrong and in a few years the boxset will be worth some money.

The choice is yours..

**Update**

Disc 1 Transformers - Special Features - Audio commentary with Michael Bay. Running time 138 minutes.

Disc 2 Revenge of the Fallen - Special features - Audio commentary by Michael bay, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman. Running time 144 minutes.

Disc 3 Dark of the Moon - Special Features - *None* - Running time 148 minutes.

Also all 3 discs are available to select in the following languages upon disc insertion:

Dansk
Norsk
English
Suomi
Nerderlandstalig
Svenska.

The first two transformers movie are amazing, all characters, especially the transformers themselves are fantastic to watch and transform, the first two movies are nice alternatives to other action movies. Both the first and second film have great story-lines and all characters are enjoyable. Even my nephew who is six years old enjoyed these movies! Anyone of any age can easily enjoy these movies.

But the reason for the four stars and not five is because of the final film, 'dark of the moon'.

Sam who was the 'lovable' hero in the first two movies as now turned into a screaming baby, in almost every action scene he's screaming, no exageration. Megan Fox has left the franchise and has been replaced by a trophy girl, she is beautiful but cannot act to save her life and the relationship between her and sam is awful and not interesting in the slightest and all she does in the movie is scream for Sam's help, where as Megan Fox had her own story and unique qualities and had much more of a significance.
The autobots have seemed to have been 'dulled' down, Bumblebee almost seems static! The storyline in theory is quite good but lacks the 'energy' in the first two films.
The film drags on for way too long and the ending is terrible, for literally 45 mins in the film, sam and his girlfriend are trapped in a building, just screaming! The final film is just full of explosions and screaming.

All in all, the first two films are great, story lines, characters everything but the third film is just awful.

I already owned the first 2 on dvd and decided to buy the blu-ray box set when the tird fil came out.
These films have never looked so good as they do in blu-ray.
Every second of these films looks so much better in blu-ray and the effects definately stand up to the high def of blu-ray.
There are not many extra features on these discs, but to be honest after owning the 2 disc editions of the first 2 there was not a lot to be missed.
If you like thee films they are well worth the money!!!!!

The Transformers Trilogy, "Transformers" (2007), "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" (2009) and "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" (2011) have been three of some of the highest grossing films of the decade, and at the same time three debateably overrated sci-fi films although many have given the films extreme amounts of criticism, particularly the worst installment out of the three - Revenge of the Fallen. Whilst not familiar with the original series, but knowing that this was just three movies about giant robots I approached the trilogy and have the following reviews on each film.

Transformers: 3 stars
The trilogy begins with a race against time with two races of mechanical beings from Cybertron, Autobots and Decepticons searching for a cube which can rejuvinate their planet, but the humans are caught in the middle and one of them, Sam Witwicky holds the key to the end of a civil war that could destory the human race. Whilst out of the three this is the one many fans support the most, I seriously didn't like it on initial release and with the two sequels now released that opinion has little changed, although the comparison to its immediate sequel puts this one in a better light. Transformers has got excellent CGI, an excellent opening sequence with plenty of intrigue and explosions required. The film as a whole moves at a quicker pace than Revenge of the Fallen and introduces us to the characters in an effective, if extremely tiresome on the part of the humans, manner. But the main problem of the film is recurrent throughout the entire trilogy - and that's that the Transformers, Autobots and Decepticons alike play second fiddle to humans like Sam Witwicky and Lennox.
