I bought this for recording HD with the Panasonic GH4, especially at the higher rates of 4K. After nearly 2 months use I can confirm it works perfectly fine and is a great cheap alternative to the more expensive cards and I plan to buy another one. No dropped frames that I can spot- some of the footage is pretty shaky!) Reads and transfers as expected.

BUT.... don't make the same mistake I did of editing the footage on the card in another device (such as a computer) in the hope of saving disc space when you save to the Hard Drive of your computer. Even if the card works out of the box as mine did, format the card. I found replacing the card back in the GH4 with edited footage cause a "electronic shutter" problem message; the display turning itself on and off every 2-3 seconds that didn't allow me to access the menus to format the card. In the end I deleted all the footage on the card using the computer and then the GH4 seemed to accept the card back to allow formatting. This is more a GH4 issue. To be on the safe side export all to computer and don't mess with the files unless using the camera itself (deleting flies etc). Editing on the card on another device may cause read errors for the GH4.

The U3 cards are reasonably new and this seems like very good value compared to other cards not he market. Have used Transcend cards for professional video without any problem for years and I have shot 4K video on this card with the GH4 with no problem at all. Having said that, I have shot 4K video with the GH4 on my previous U1 Scandisk Extreme cards without any problem either, so I am NOT saying that this card is definitively faster or better, but as a U3 card it probably is and, as I said, is very good value at £27. OH, and it's a very pretty gold colour....weeeeeee

Great memory card - I measured these in my computer as over 60MB/s continous speed. Faster than my previous Transcend Ultimate cards and a littlle bit cheaper too.

I got these to use in my Panasonic GH4 as 4K video requires faster write speeds. I've recorded hours of footage now and have had no dropped frames.

I've also use in Nikon D800, D600, D7100 and all with great results and fast buffer write speeds.

At the price I paid ~£27 for 64GB this is great value and no need to worry about running out of space anytime soon.

Having just bought a Panasonic Lumix GH4 I was looking for fast cards to cope with the 200Mbps and 4K video capabilities. Saw these for about thirty quid each rated for use with 4K, so took a punt on buying a few.

Bottom line, they work. BUT...

After about a minute or so recording at 4K I got a flashing card symbol on the display which I'm told has something to do with the write status. Left the camera in record mode as a failure test and it stopped after about thirteen minutes, well before the card was full. Recorded video looks and plays fine in Premiere Pro, as do the many shorter duration clips I've recorded.

So, my advice - if you're using for fun/hobby/non mission-critical projects they're worth the money. If on the other hand you need to shoot pro jobs with a zero margin for error, it maybe a better idea to get the new Sandisk card or an external recording solution.

Recorded using this card - http://youtu.be/zQHUI5msASE

**UPDATE** Have bought the new Sandisk Extreme Pro 280mbps card and done a similar failure test. The flashing card symbol also appeared after about a minute although the card recorded perfectly!

Formatted the Transcend card in the GH4 after which it recorded to the full 29'59 limit with no problems. They work...but will they last?!

I have had no issues with this card so far.

Do ensure that your camera can cope with the larger size SDXC card and also the speed before you get this card. After checking the manual for my camera I found that the size is supported, but I had to check the manufacturer's web site to confirm the speed issue.

Previously I had buffer issues with the video @1080p on rare occasions. So far this hasn't happened with the new memory card.

I haven't had an opportunity to push the stills side for rapid pictures, but when testing at home and comparing the previous memory card, there was an noticeable improvement with the picture buffer clearing much sooner than before.

For the capacity, speed and price, there is probably nothing to beat this card. I always back up in the 2nd SD card slot of my Nikon D7000 from the first slot. Makes total sense and peace of mind, as any manufacturer can pass on a dud card. That makes a backed up 64gb's about 1600 RAW + basic jpegs, plenty for even the most trigger-happy day's shooting. I then delete all the images from the backup card when it's full and start again.

I do have a few, mostly much slower 64gb Sandisks and Lexars but one day I thought I'd try Transcend's 64gb 600x and six months later it hasn't missed a shot as the back up card.

One thing that should be emphasised is that ALL cameras and devices must have the latest available firmware updates installed. This also allows for the widest and latest range and larger capacities of cards to be used. For example, my very old CF using D700 originally could only be used with up to 16gb cards but with the latest firmware, apparently can now accept 64gb. I use 32gb's all the time in it.

I actually purchased this Transcend for a few pounds cheaper elsewhere, so shop around but only from a reputable source, of course.
