Not a reliable storage device

There are few options for high capacity ExpressCard storage devices, so I ended up going with this one. After about a 8 months of working fine, and really never leaving my computer's EC slot, I started to notice some strangle anomalies - files that would simply disappear. This happened only a few times, sporadically, and I figured it might have been me. Then one day, I was no longer able to access the drive at all. I sent it into Transcend, and they sent it back to Taiwan to try and recover the data. After 4 weeks, no dice. So they sent me a new one. I tried copying a large number of files back on to the drive - it appeared to be successful, but although the file structure was visible, the files were unopenable. I tried to reformat, and again, no luck. I had hoped to use this as a good backup storage solution, but I've found it completely unreliable. Bummer.
