This is a fantastick product by all means.
Pros: Price, Speed, Size, weight and portability
Cons: Cables
If I didn't have to attach a cord to this thing or if it came with a single cord that could be used for both USB and SATA (eSATAp for example) this drive would be so much more enjoyable. I bought it after my PNY 4gb keyfob croaked. I freaked out becuase it happened so suddenly and it took about 100 tries before it came to life once, long enough for me to copy its contents then it conked out for ever.
I researched drives for about one month. The best thing to buy if money was not an option would be an SLC 4GB drive with a samsung chip. However, price and the 4 GB storage size are a deterrent. This thing is more reliable and much, much faster than an MLC thumb drive (eg. a corsair voyager). It weighs just as much as a heavy thumb drive and is small enough to slip into any pocket comfortably. It's great...if it wasn't for that damn cord. You have to carry the cord around with the drive and you need either 2 free USB slots or one free USB slot and an eSATA slot. This means you have to carry two cords (unless all the computers you use have an eSata port) or settle for the mundane transfer speeds of usb. I use it much less than I thought I would. Still, its speed, capacity and reliability are comfort and security layers that come at a bargain given the price.
