The flash stick is very easy to use, once you have set up the installation software that encrypts and reads your fingerprint. It can be a little bit fiddly at first since it takes multiple readings of the digit you want to use to be identified by. However, there is plenty of storage, which is easily accessible, but all the more importantly, is secure: if you were unfortunate enough to lose it, then there is minimal chance the data you saved on the flash stick will fall into the wrong hands or be used inappropriately.

My only minor quibble is that it compatible with OS-X, and I prefer to use Macs at home, so cannot transfer data from work to home via the flash stick. However, it clearly states on the packaging it is only suitable for MS Windows. The casing is robust and durable.

Ruined by software 20 Nov 2008
I've had a JF220 for about a month now. On balance it is not good. The basic boimetric design, installation and operation is fine. However, the manufacturer should have put more effort into the software drivers and less into the "password bank" concept.

I have continuous problems to get the device to be recognised so that the "identity authorisation" page will load. I nearly always have to manually run the pdstart program on the fake CD Rom drive. 50% of the time this works and shows me the login page. 30% of the time it just does nothing and 20% of the time it tells me it is already running. This is across 3 different computers that I use daily. Time to kill of PdGuide.EXE and try again and again and again.

That would not be so bad except then you get to PwdBank.exe. As usual, they couldn't just stop at a biometric drive, they had to get clever. This PwdBank program loads automatically and looks for ANY window containing the words Username and Password. This could include an e-mail in Outlook, nothing to do with a website login. Very often I find 2 or more copies of PwdBank running and fighting with Outlook, chewing 100% of the CPU.

Website login is no better because it often freezes the web page and does not prompt for permission to store the data. Once again, task manager is needed to kill of PwdBank. But it comes back whether you like it or not.

If it works and you tell it "no don't store" it does not remember this and goes on to prompt you every other time you go to that site. It is both difunctional and annoying and I can't find any way to turn it off.

Great hardware (even if slow) but awful software. Where is the manufacturer support, I can't find it????

Very good biometric USB. High in security. Enabales you to set a password aswell as your fingerprint to access your storgae device.
Great for Personal Use. Though a software is requried everytime you insert the devices.
