Bought this adapter to use in my 2008 Honda EX CRV SatNav/Entertainment system so I can play my music collection in the car in the same way as I would with an mp3 player. Having read several negative comments from forums about problems in general with using adapters I was somewhat wary. However this adapter allowed my compact flash card filled with mp3 & wma files to be recognised by my Honda straight away so it is smiles all round. Now to look for some more old compact flash cards I no longer use with my dslr........a use at last.

Purchased this item in order to play MP3 music files in a Honda CRV - worked perfectly with SanDisk card but not with Kingston so choice of card may be an issue with either the adapter or the Honda setup? All that aside I am very pleased with the adapter hence my 5 star rating and at 10% of the cost of a Honda sourced adapter I am very happy!

Does exactly what it is supposed to do with no fuss.
I Installed it in a Dell D630 laptop running Windows XP and it worked straight away.
Used with 2G & 4G Transcend CF cards as well as 4G SanDisk cards.
Plug your CF card into the adapter and the adapter into a PC-Card (PCMCIA) slot and that's all there is too it.

Does what it says on the tin, but it is very slow
I could have had a bad sample, but I was getting about 1MBytes/s out of this when other adapters were reaching 10MBytes/s. Otherwise it works pretty much as expected.

Added storage but slow transfer speed
Reason for buying: Add storage to laptop in otherwise redundant PCMCIA slot

Honda CRV 2008
Works perfect on my 2008 CRV AUDIO PC slot with the Transcent CF card. The compact flash card needs to be in the the adapter before the display closes.

Does what it says on the box
I bought this adapter as a work around as my Canon camera will not work with Windows 7. I just remove the card from the camera, plug into the adapter and load it onto the computer. Read more
