Product Description

Transactional Analysis in Psychotherapy by Eric Berne "An important book . . . a brilliant, amusing, and clear catalogue of the psychological theatricals that human beings play over and over again."

Dr. Eric Berne, as the originator of transactional analysis, has attained recognition for developing one of the most innovative approaches to modern psychotherapy. Discover how many of these "secret games" you play everyday of your life: Iwfy (If it weren't for you); Sweetheart; Threadbare; Harried; Alcoholic, and many more. A groundbreaking book that bores deep into the heart of all our relationships.

TA and Eric Berne 14 Feb 2010
I am shamed to admit that my knowledge and understanding of this incredible man is patchy and incomplete, I know somebody who is currently training in this expansive field and have learned a little about Eric Berne and TA from them.

As far as I can understand Transactional Analysis is a growing field in Psychotherapy, it deals with social relationships and interactions by helping clients to understand themselves and the world around them, this seems to me to combine client centred therapies with other mainstream elements of psychotherapy. I am not qualified to say for certain, and have only the conjectures of ignorance to offer.

I will therefore content myself to say that I am incredibly pleased with the service received, this item arrived in record time and in wonderful condition, your service was exceptional in every way and I thank you very much.

Not an easy read 20 Feb 2010
This book was recommended to me and as I have an interest in psychotherapy I purchased it from Amazon. I have only so far flicked through the pages but from what I have seen it is a far heavier read that I had hoped. Now I have it I will try and read it but it does not appear to be as informative and interesting to a relative novice on the subject.
