Trans-Siberian Rail Guide 12 Aug 2011
By Jan Polatschek - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Published in 1987, much of the information is out of date. However, there are many good itinerary suggestions and travel tips as well as previous travel comments from years ago that are entertaining and informative.

For an excellent account of history, personal profiles and recent traveling across Russia, I recommend "Russia - A Journey to the Heart of a Land and its People" by Jonathan Dimbleby.
