4.0 out of 5 stars Most underground Trance Nation yet 28 May 2004
Format:Audio CD
The Trance Nation series has always for me been a mixed hit parade of whatever trance anthems are currently rocking the clubs and charts at the time of release. However, this most recent one seems to have shirked the tunes that have been charting, which is a pleasant surprise. 2004 has seen dance and trance make quite a revival in mainstream success, and it would be very easy for Judge Jules to just cram on As the Rush Comes, Satellite, Just Be or Rock Your Body Rock like every other trance compilation has these last few months. Credit that he has avoided all the obvious choices, yet still put plenty of movers and shakers into the mix.
CD 1 and CD 2 are quite different in styles, yet they both reflect the current trend in trance, which is veering towards a slightly darker, more techy sound at the moment. CD 1 has some big club tunes on, such as the Gladiator remix (by Gladiator), the new Agnelli & Nelson track, Ferry Corsten's remix of Somebody, and club favourites by Riva, Solid Globe, The Green Martian and Airscape. There are some slower, more progressive tunes on the album, especially at the start, but after the impressive Cheap Emotions track (who are these guys?) the CD improves a lot.
CD 2, my preference, has a selection of slightly harder and definately more driving tracks. Some hard trance from Scot Project, Cosmic Gate and Nu-NRG, a slice of hardstyle (surely a first for Trance Nation?) with Walt's banging remix of Ligaya, and some top quality uplifting stormers from Rank 1, Clokx and GD. Public Domain also contribute a new track (their second this year) in anticipation of their upcoming album. The CD closes with JX- Restless, which seems slightly out of place, but it's still a good track, even though I'd have prefered one of the Tidy mixes (Guyver!).

5.0 out of 5 stars trance at its best 14 Mar 2004
Format:Audio CD
MOS made a great choice of getting Judge Jules to mix his album cause its nothing but pure hard, heavy and bassy trance from start to finish featuring the latest tunes and also a new remix of the classic Gouryella - Ligaya, a great album done by a great DJ who knows his stuff forget Pete Tong his days are numbered.
This album is for the real hardcore and passionate trance listener, if your expecting dance/trance songs that you hear in the charts then forget it this great collection which is strictly for clubs and clubs only.

5.0 out of 5 stars Trance Nation Electric 4 May 2004
Format:Audio CD
What A CD. I have both Trance Nation Deeper and Harder and they are both excellent but this one is even better. Some of the tunes especially on cd 2 are phenomenal. The only small downside is the first 5 songs on cd 1 are disappointing but apart from that the standard of the rest of the cd is of a very good standard. Here is a guide to some of the best songs on the cd
cd 1
6- Cheap Emotions - Battle Trance Galaxia
7- Wippenberg - Fire
8- Blue Amazon Vs Darren Tate - No Other Love
9- Primer - Indulge
15- F.Massif - Somebody
17- E-Craig - Smoke
5- That mucho - Dont snare at me
6- Cosmic Gate - Ultra Curve
11- Blank&Jones - A Forrest
12- Clokx - Overdrive
13- Rank 1 - Its up to you
14- Push- Electric Eclipse
16- Sam Sharp - Twister
18- JX - Restless
Clokx-Overdrive is a unbelievable tune. Blank&Jones and Sam Sharp are also cracking. Trance Nation Electric is a five star cd.If you like Trance music you will definitely like this cd.

5.0 out of 5 stars The follow-up to Harder is Electric! 1 Mar 2004
Format:Audio CD
Her comes the third Trance Nation mixed by Judge Jules.
Once again it's a kicking mix of current and upfront dancefloor detonators from The Lord Justice of Trance. including tunes from Scot Project, Riva and Gouryella to name a few. Jules also uses acapellas of house tunes, you know what it's like if you ever seen him playing live.
If you liked Harder than you gonna need this in your collection.
One for true Trance fans and not Clubland's buyers!

4.0 out of 5 stars Trance Nation Harder - Part 2 27 Mar 2004
By asot77
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
Back for the third time with the Trance Nation series, Judge Jules has again selected most/or all the tracks on this album, this time giving us a taste of his live sets by using accapellas on 3 of the tracks on the album. As expected, most of the tracks here are stuff you would actually hear in clubs and not on the radio. The only downside has to be the fact that there aren't as many good songs around at the moment as there was when Trance Nation Harder came out. Maybe if he had added a few more euphoric tracks and got rid of some of the harder filler tracks this would have been a 5 star album as there are far better euphoric/vocal trance tracks out at the moment than any outstanding hard trance/techno tracks.

4.0 out of 5 stars Some great tracks, some awful ones. 20 Mar 2004
By Exhale
Format:Audio CD
As i've bought both TN Future, and TN Deeper, I decided to buy this one too.
And it is excellent; well CD one anyway.
Some of my favourite tracks on it:

02) Modulation-SPIRITS: a quality track with a great sounding piano background and piano melody
03) Scorpion-FIRE: an excellent track, with a breakbeat. Good tune.
04)Airscape-SOSEI: Johan Gielen is behind this track, so it is guaranteed to be good.
05)Cheap Emotions-BATTLE TRANCE GALAXIA: The tune to this track is fantastic! Would sound brilliant as the theme tune to some space fight movie-hence the name.
06)Gladiator featuring Izzy-NOW WE ARE FREE- A remixed version of the Gladiator song. Excellent
07)Agnelli and Nelson feat.Aureas-HOLDING ON TO NOTHING- Probably my favourite song on the CD, brilliant vocals make this track.
CD 2
13) Rank 1- ITS UP TO YOU (SYMSONIC) INSTUMENTAL DUB: A brilliant track with an uplifting melody which rivals Gouryella's ligaya( not this CD's mix) for its melody. Brilliant.
My advice would be to get this CD, but I disliked the second disc apart from one or two songs. Benny Benassi's tune is better than their first song-that Satisfaction song was a real wretch.
This CD isnt for people who like their commercial dance, its for people who appreciate the more uplifting, bassy hard trance.
Oh, and one more thing. That remix of Ligaya by (track one, CD2) is a travesty. It cuts out the brilliant strings melody and tune that was the basis behind the whole song. A real shame.
4 stars for me
