2.0 out of 5 stars Fall From Grace 3 Dec 2002
Format:Audio CD
I've always been a fan of the Trance Nation Series, until now. This is just rubbish. Virtually every song has some form of female vocals in it. They are ok on some tunes, but when you hear them on song after song they get incredibly annoying. If I wanted female vocals i'd buy Shania Twain!
Maybe the lack of quality on this album is just reflecting the lack of decent new trance material at the moment. Many of the tunes on this album are tranced up versions of pretty bad songs from the 90's like Dreamer and Careless Whisper, which almost make me cringe!
Its not all bad news though. There are some great tunes on this album, with decent versions too, such as Oakenfold: Southern Sun, Moby: In this World and Future Breeze: Ocean of Eternity. On the whole most of the tunes are average at best, with the mixing also very standard. At the moment your better off buying a 'best of' album, such as the latest Euphoria.

Snap rythem is a dancer is Superb and an excellent mix plus Devine Insperation, put your hand in my hand. other than these the other tracks are going to have you hitting the >> botton quite a few times. If you like yout trance poppy, vocal and cheesy..5/5 I'm rating this on what I consider proper trance.. sorry 2/5 guys.

1.0 out of 5 stars Rubbish! 15 July 2003
Format:Audio CD
This is by far the worst Trance compliation I have ever brought! This would be OK it was labelled 'HangBag House' or 80's House Remixes. How dare they call it Trance! If you think Trance is tacky remixes of 'Careless Wispers' or 'Take my Breath Away' then this is for you. Ministry of Sound normally have very good compliations, not this one. I brought it because I have lots of MOD labels one of the best is 'Clubbers Guide to Trance' - ATB.
There is not ONE decent Trance song on this compliation. I will be very wary of MOD compliations now, as they seem to be so many of them!

1.0 out of 5 stars Total Mince 30 May 2003
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
MoS have a number of great trance compilations- but this clearly isn't one of them. I wouldn't even call it trance- just a collection of unimaginative clichés, the worst of which are the reworkings of cheesy old 80s songs that should have been left to rot in peace. A total waste of money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Saturday Night Pre Clubbing 26 Nov 2002
Format:Audio CD
The ideal cd for anyone into the clubbing scene. This CD is top notch for listening to before a night on the town or to relive the memories of a great night out. The inclusion of older tracks now remixed brings back memories of the younger clubbers as latest chart hits are aimed at 12 year old girls and are usualy avoided. The uplifting beats and melodies are sure to lift the mood of anyone.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing.... 28 Dec 2002
Format:Audio CD
I bought this compilation expecting that it would be a great (or at least good) listen, given that the previous trance nation compilations have been pretty good. I was very disappointed. While there are some good trance tracks on both CD's, the recording is ruined by the presence of a LOT of cheesy tracks and tranced-up remixes of pop tunes from the 70's, 80's, and 90's. I found myself reaching for the skip button on my CD player over and over again.
To be fair, I think this would be a good CD to buy if you are curious about trance, or if you like pop and don't mind hearing the occasional tranced-up version of your favourite pop songs. If, on the other hand, you are a true trance fan, don't waste your money....
