5.0 out of 5 stars Better than All the Rest! 17 Jun 2000
By A Customer
Format:Paperback

It you're interested in any aspect of the application of NLP in a training or teaching context don't even think about looking at anything else until you've read this book.

Although the style is, as in Introducing NLP, a little dry, this book reaches the parts that other books don't even mention. Both Joseph O'Connor and John Seymour have years of experience in this field so they tell you what you really need to know.

After 5 years reviewing books on NLP I have yet to find one which beats this in its subject area. Buy it. Read it. And enjoy using your newfound skills.

Got this yesterday & all ready stuck into it..

Great tips for trainers on how to design training, deal with difficult & challenging people, manage your own state and so on.

I would say this book is more useful if you're already a trainer OR an NLP Practitioner, however, there's still a lot to be gained by everyone.

Great refresher for the skills I learned some years ago & nice to have confirmation on what I'm doing.

Highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great book for CIS Professors and Technical Trainers! 19 Jan 1999
By Nelson S. Beltran - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I got this book when I went to see Rex Steven Sikes in November, 1997 at his Trainers Training at IDEA SEMINARS in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
I used it when I was training call center Advisors at GM Onstar
for Sitel Corporation
I particularly like all the mindmaps in it.
This book is an easy read for people in human resources and sales
or even computer trainers who are trying to
become good at standup delivery.
Its also good for managers
who need to train others and develop
exciting training for high technology companies such as
the Big 3 Auto Companies.
Elegant NLP basics covered with a customization
for people who train, teach and empower others.
If you manage people this will enhance your mission.
If you want to learn about NLP and Training this is the book
to have for your collection.
I'm currently using this material develop my teaching
lessons at the University that I'm teaching Computer
Science Courses.

4.0 out of 5 stars one of the best NLP resources for trainers 20 April 2001
By Patrick Merlevede - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
After looking around for a while, I must admit that it is the best book about training I've found (as long as you're not involved in the classic education). The book offers a good and complete overview of what training is all about. If you know something about training, you will find out how much you already know. A nice feature of this book is its use of brain maps to offer a section overview, and really each chapter ends with an overview, offering the key points. My conclusion? If you want to know about training, get this book! If you want to get training in training, follow a seminar!

5.0 out of 5 stars Training with NLP is great 30 Jan 2012
By Sherron E. Allen-woods - Published on Amazon.com

This is a very good book. I have been training for decades and have never encountered a book like this.

The systematic explanation of how to do training is great . It will inform even the most experienced trainer. I was also very impressed by the way the author used the NLP techniques in the book. The thought of being able to train with these techniques is very exciting. Buy the book ,Quickly!
