4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good 27 April 2009
Format:Paperback
I bought this because i am starting a PGCE course in september and it has proved pretty useful in giving me some ideas of what the course may be like. It is set out well and starts with the interview process and tips for that and then moves on to the different issues faced whilst on the course. It has definately been a worthwhile read and i would recommend it to any potential student teacher but the reason for only 4 stars is that it covers alot of ground that is in most books of this type and there is nothing really new. But great for info.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not very good for FE PGCE teachers 6 Dec 2010
Format:Paperback
This book looks good, and probably is brilliant for those teachers going into pre-post-compulsary.
Alas it was not so useful to me as the post-compulsary sector is different to these.
However, as i said it looks good for those doing lower ages and so will be given to my friend who is learning to teach GCSE french :P

Good book. Points out the obvious quite a lot. But lots of handy hits - especially if you are just starting out.
