Steven and Neil are being paid a million dollars each to be network spies and to travel to an island in the Caribbean. They will video a reality show similar to "Survivor" and leak each episode via satellite back to their boss each day. Steven and Neil travel to the island via a cruise ship with all of the other potential contestants. However, a major game plan changes when Neil is chosen to be one of the twenty contestants vying for a million dollars. In order to keep their cover, Neil is forced to play the game. Steven sneaks onto the island (as prearranged) and hides out. Each day, he videos the contestants as they compete and their ceremony where the loser is kicked off of the island. The plan is to release each episode before the reality show does and ruin their network ratings.
Steven is on his own and has time to explore the island. He soon meets a very important woman and becomes involved with island politics. A military coup and a romance happen, but I don't want to give details as it will spoil the plot. I enjoyed the book. However, there were many grammatical errors such as spelling and extra words in the sentences. If the author could have someone edit the book for the obvious mistakes, I think the book would be so much better. I have read many books with editing errors, but this book did have more than most.
