Just like 1977 and Nuclear sounds..with this cd they manage to incorporate more than one style of music..and what sets it apart from the English version is the extra tracks! The genius 'hulk hogan bubble bath' & 'Different today' plus the energetic 'day of the triffids' and 'punk boy' Best tracks - Intense thing, Hulk hogan bubble bath and Different today. Brilliant CD!

this album is absolutely kickass, ash continue to get better and better with their albums '1977' and 'nu-clear sounds', but this album most definately holds some of the bands best and most exciting material ever written by the boy wonder, Tim Wheeler, songs you'll die for include, 'season', 'jack names the planets', 'petrol' and the wonderfully sub-dued, 'uncle pat'. a must for all ash fans, word of advise though, buy the imported trailer as this has the bands splendid rendition of the classic 'punkboy' and several key b-sides. enjoy!

'Uncle Pat' was the first Ash song I heard, and the first song I learnt to play on my guitar (the guitar solo is one of the coolest I have heard). 'Petrol' and 'Intense Thing' are other songs that inspired me to keep playing, although I have moved away from punk/grunge rock music in my guitar playing, I still stick 'Trailer' in my hifi and think about the old days at college, laying on the grass with the sun beating down and Ash banging through my earphones.

Classic album from an hugely underated band, although Nu-Clear wasn't great and they haven't done any worth buying since 'Trailer' and '1977'.

Buy it if you like punk/heavish rock type music, you will thank me for convincing you.

Ok.. but too short
This is an okay album. 2 1/2 stars. It's better than "Nu-Clear Sounds" (which is a rank 0 stars), but not quite as good as "1977" (5-star). Read more

This compilation of ash's early songs is really good.
This is a brilliant peice of music by the three youngsters from Northern Ireland. The simple but inspiring tune of petrol to the tear making Uncle Pat. Read more
