Format:Audio CD
Where Tragediennes (vol.1) was a powerful collection of typical French baroque vocal music, this piece is a little bit more romantically orientated. It doesn't have the typical harpsichord sound in every piece, but indeed the faster-than-you-can-keep-up-with-string music. Gens' interpretation is nicely done. Pronouncement very well to be understood, something that especially French people tend to forget. Gens' voice is at her best like usual. Her full resonans relaxes me every time and gives me energy when I need to perform myself in my vocal studies. You love her voice, you love her energetic performance, buy it. You don't like baroque? Maybe you should try this before you buy vol.1, even Rameau's Palatin's you'll like (great copper).

Format:Audio CD
A tremendous selection of arias, wonderfully interpreted and stunningly sung. Excellent orchestration too. A real gem of a C.D. I recomend it highly.
