This was purchased to replace a much more expensive ceramic container which was showing signs of wear after only a couple of years. This bread bin proved to be a much wiser buy. It's sturdy and a good design with the drop down lid. It's attractive too with the front engraving. It's perfectly adequate for a small family with room for a large and small loaf and a few rolls. At the price I paid I thought it was good value for money.

It is very well designed and made; with its drop down opening that can be used as a bread board it is extremely useful; it is made of a wood that looks good and will I think prove much better at keeping bread than my previous metal one, though I haven't had it long enough to prove that.

Very pleased with this bread bin. Good size- holds two loaves easily, looks great, well-made, drop down front can be used as cutting surface, and makes access very easy, and the top can be used as a shelf. And all at a very reasonable price. What more could you ask?

I've been looking for a perfect bread bin for 4 years! And I finnaly found it! :) It's natural, very nice quality and fits perfectly 3 packs of bagels :) The only one thing I don't really like is that inside there is no rack for bread crupms so to clean it you need to turn the whole bread bin upside down. However that problem was easy to solve - I've put a sheet of paper towel at the bottom.
It's worth every penny I've spent on it and it makes me smile every time I walk in to my kitchen :)

I make my own bread, using the Wilton 9.25 x 5.25 inch loaf tin. Most bread bins aren't large enough to comfortably take a loaf of that size, however this one does and has enough width to spare for some rolls. Also as it's not a roll-top but has a flat front there is larger flat surface area on top to store stuff. Solid build.

I like this item, it was very well packaged, in loads and loads of bubble wrap, looked like something from NASA that was ready to land on mars!

Product is well made and I was a bit surprised due to the angle of the photo used to find the front slopes back quite a bit, however it's still entirely functional. Door is a nice fit and it keeps bread fresh very well so far.

If the door is open, just watch yourself on the bottom edge at the front of the top panel, it's got a pretty sharp edge just there and it's not nice to impact that with the bit behind the quick on your finger, one of those tiny but painful bashes that surprise with an out of all proportion pain level to go with it! I was surprised and feel fully foolish! Maybe the guys in the work shop could take a round over router bit to that edge for a more user friendly item in that area.

Good value, solid and nicely turned out.

Would buy one again.

The bread bin was just as described, looks great in my kitchen and is deceptive in size and holds a lot more than i first thought. I am very pleased with it. Thanks
