Now although the novel is a little bit of a slow starter, stick with it as the action soon comes thick and fast, with certain aspects reminiscent of the descriptiveness of American Psycho. The whirlwind that erupts from the initial idea from planting of one of the mysterious globes takes the reader on a site seeing tour of Mesoamerica as well as bringing to life pieces we've only ever seen in movies. The author has clearly done his research and taken a great amount of the work suggested by Graham Hancock to heart, who should his theories be proven will throw the age of discover back into disarray.
RJ is obviously well traveled with the descriptiveness and clairty of the sites suggested being photograpically transfered rather than just described.
Many people don't look to the small independent presses for authors to try, this is perhaps one of the biggest losses to the reader as there are some hidden gems awaiting discovery, using Tractrix as an example of the quality of novels out there its clear that the larger publishing houses will soon have to respond in kind and should perhaps be looking at the rising talent of authors, who like this novel await discovery. RJ Archer, I believe is one of the authors to watch and I eagerly await the further exploits of the NWIDI adventurers.
