5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant 7 Mar 2009
Format:DVD
My son is almost 2 but he has loved this whole series since Nov when he was about 18 months old. The previous reviewer mentioned the dubious quality footage. I agree that it is not hollywood, but I think it is just right for kids, simply explained with not too much talking and so my son is able to take it all in. He knows that milk comes from cows, who eat silage which comes from the fields - he knows wool comes from sheep who have to be shorn, he knows everything there is to know about tractors, telehandlers, toppers, swath-turners, balers, diggers..... and now so do I - enlightening for me too!
I can't promote these DVD's enough, they are just so good.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for tractor obsessed small boys! 22 Sep 2008
By IsItMe?
Format:DVD
Like all these Tractor Ted DVDs there's (thankfully) very little of the title character. What there is however is lots and lots of tractors, combine harvesters and all manner of farm machinery to keep boys of a certain age glued to the tele!

Certainly helps with understanding that bread doesn't just come from the supermarket.

Something slightly grates about the commentary for me, and these don't have the highest production values (occasionally dubious camera work and editing) but nothing that will distract from the enjoyment of the small-folk.

4.0 out of 5 stars My two year old loves this 15 Feb 2013

Lovely films of tractors and combines etc. My toddler loves them. This one is very good but 'Tractor ted meets the animals' and 'showtime' are better. Educational too!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, could be more educational 26 July 2012

Boys love Tractor Ted and we have found them really useful on those winter days when our son cant go outside. I do think they could have done more to promote organic farming (the bread is from organic flour) and to educate about the countryside.
