Firstly, it's good to have the boys back. I'm off to see them this weekend.
This is a very good album. Great songs and brilliant lyrics. You can see the Australian Landscape in the songs. Lie back and absorb it all. It's all so vivid.
Downside is some of the songs are not new. Two songs by Broderick Smith, for example, are on his solo albums. Not sure about the re-hashed Snowblind Moon (I like the slower original) but I do like Ribs of the Land (I like both the original and this version).
Other things like no lyric sheet or who wrote the songs in the booklet is a little disappointing.
But, hey, it's a very good start. And looking forward to more from this great Aussie band.
