22 of 22 people found the following review helpful By Etak Neill on 7 Sept. 2002
Format: Paperback
An excellent resource for anyone planning intercessions. The Celtic style of David Adam stands well on its own, and can also be adapted to include prayers for local or world situations.
At times the prayers seem a little 'wordy' but they can easily be gently pruned without losing the sense of the prayer.
It is also a good resource for private prayer on those days when you can't think of where or how to begin

If you are looking for help with writing prayers of intercession, then you'll find David Adams' three books, Clouds and Glory, Traces of Glory and Glimpses of Glory, invaluable help. They follow the traditional pattern and are easily adapted to take other ideas and prayers.

I have lost count of the number of copies of this series I have bought following loss, mislayings or plain theft!! They are excellent stimulation for new public prayer ideas - and they are based on the weekly readings for years A, B and C!

Very useful for anyone taking intersessions and especially as contains blessings and sentences for the peace. The prayers are thought provoking and relevant.

I have used the series for several years. This was a present.
