  • This is the most thoughtfully designed fun wooden hammer and ball toy! Very solid wooden box with three slopping trays underneath, three big size colourful balls and a mallet. Rubber rings are inserted in the holes (which are much better than plastic rings covered on the tops of holes); balls drop inside the box and roll out layer by layer to the three sloping trays below. The bottom tray will catch the balls so that you do not have to chase after the balls underneath sofas or tables!
  • Helps develop colour recognition, grip and hand-eye coordination; improves aiming and concentration.
  • Suitable for 2 years plus. The balls are big size of 4 cms in diameter (bigger than a ping pong ball). If parents are worried about small size balls, this is the one for you. Children under 3 should be supervised by an adult while playing.
  • Beautifully smooth wood craft with CE standard, environmentally friendly and non-toxic paints. All wooden toys by Toys of Wood Oxford are tested by the seller's or friends' own children.
  • Toys of Wood Oxford (TOWO) brand is exclusively sold by TOWO on Amazon. No any other sellers are authorised by TOWO to sell its products as new. Be aware of counterfeit!!! I brought this for my friends little boys 1st birthday but of course I had to have a play before I wrapped it up. It is very sturdy and robust. I just know he will love banging those balls and watching them roll down. My little one loved it too and was most upset when I put it back in the box. :-)

When we got this, the rings were so tight it was impossible to hammer the balls through (even for adults). I snipped the rubber rings so that they sit properly in the grooves and now they're perfect. Our 2-year-old loves this toy and plays with it every day. My only suggestion to the manufacturers would be to adjust how the lowest level slopes so that the balls roll into it properly instead of stacking up in a bunch.

Good you but the balls are kind of hard to push throw the holes for my little one. Maybe I need to make him for violent. Really good toy though. If you kid likes ball-based toys, then this is a good one. Just dont let them throw the balls around and lose them.

5.0 out of 5 stars good fun toy 7 July 2013

My two and a half year old grandson absolutely loves this toy. I was concerned that he would find it hard to hammer in the balls as I thought it seemed a bit stiff, but he loved it and found it really easy.He played with it for ages on the first day and the next morning all he wanted to do was play with his new toy and he said it made him really happy!
The wood is lovely and the balls are really smooth and colourful, it looks like it will last a long time and take a lot of hammering from my grandson.
It is really good for coordination , both with hammering in the right place and for placing and collecting the balls. The child really has to think about his coordination with the hammer to repeat hitting a particular ball, great move forward for this age group.
I am really pleased with it, all the family prefer wooden toys as they are good value and last well.

2.0 out of 5 stars could be better 14 Feb 2014

Nice but smaller than expected. Balls actually get marked by hitting them with the hammer. Ball did not roll properly through one of the holes so we had to tip it up to make it move.

3.0 out of 5 stars but 13 Jan 2014

Looks good at first glance but fabrication a bit below standard. The bottom rail wasn't glued properly and I had to re-glue as it fell apart on unpacking. It has nylon inserts allowing the balls to be hammered through. These are too tight and too allow a child to hammer through it required only a little trimming with a knife, otherwise leave for an adult to hammer. Generally good value but needs a bit refining.
