The glitter lamp is made of plastics and water. You activate the glitter lamp by shaking it and then you will see the characters inside the lamp illuminated in a glittering swirl of colour changing lights. The lights change colours from red to green to blue in sequence and the lamp will turn itself off after a short period of time. Instructions for the glitter lamp are displayed on the product box. As it is lightweight, it is perfect for a child to carry with them.

After reading the description and a few reviews for this I was prepared for a pocket sized torch. I gave it my 5 year old son as a treat and he absolutely loves it, it is just the right size for him to hold, he can leave on the bed at night and shake it to activate the light. It's a great treat or small gift and well worth the small amount of money I paid including postage. I highly recommend this, it's attractive, colourful, ambient and gives a child re-assurance if they wake in the night.

My small grandson absolutely adores this light .. he is a great fan of Buzz Lightyear and it is exactly the right size! Love it!

This is alot smaller than i thought it would be but then i guess thats reflected in the price its a fun little light my son likes on of a night u just shake it and it comes on then will turn itself off after a few minutes great for a temporary night light but the battery only lasted a couple of weeks and u have to replace with a watch style battery thats a bit fiddly. id like to see one like this with a mains plug and slightly larger.

rubbish no way worth th money
on th pic it looks quite a big lamp i get it and its not worth th money its rubbish its realy small and it wont light up any bed room big or small not happy with it wot so ever

Nice little thing!
