An absolutely fantastic game you're guaranteed to be addicted within minutes even before you've opened the box. The only really trouble with this game is I haven't yet let my son have a go!
The players are made of plastic but do seem to be quite tough the stumps are quite hard to keep standing up so the smallest movement knocks them over, I got round this problem with a little bit of tape at the bottom. The pitch would be better if it was mounted on a board as it does tend to crease in the wrong places if stored. I have a computer cricket game but this is so much better, you do however have to play with more than one person. You can keep the score as if it is a real game. I would recommend it from any child above six to 106 or maybe more!!

Let's start with the bad - the stumps keep falling over and I too will have to find a way to prevent that happening. All games of this type have the same problem with achieving a flat smooth playing surface - without mounting it on hardboard (great for storage!). A warm iron on a damp cloth might do the job here. Scale is a bit of an issue too as the boundaries just keep on coming as the smallest nick will go for four but - to be fair to the designers - I cannot see how that could be easily overcome unless they triple the size of the playing surface. The good - players seem robust and well put together and the adjustable bowling action is a nice touch even if the batting is a bit one dimensional.
Overall - not bad if it's raining or dark and you can't get oustide for the real thing. And always better than a playstation alternative imo.

This is a really great toy & maker. Dad enjoys playing I would say more that 6 year old son!! Lost both ball fairly quickly, contacted Ideal & replacements sent first class free of charge - Great Service!
