Tower of Strength is one of if not thee most Iconic Gothic Rock track of all time. Released in 1988 by The Mission, and the high point of every Mission show with fans building human pyramids sometimes 3 or 4 people tall. Its strange to think that a song that was a pivotal moment when the Mission headlines the Reading Festival in 1989 to being the latest cash cow if the Simon Cowell empire.

As a song it doesn't deviate that much from the original in the sense that some remixes were done for the Mission's 1994 re release with an electronic 4/4 drum beat. What they have done here is expand on that further and sped up the song by about 10%. This could have been a major car crash but I feel its not that bad.

What you really want to do is Experience Tower of Strength for real, but the Missions one off Reunion show at Brixton Academy in October is already sold out.

Never under estimate the power of Gothic Rock Mr Cowell.
