Wanted one of these to "cool" the wife at night. I'm a light sleeper so was attracted by the "silent" in the description.Very good cooling breeze effect but VERY noisy, even noisier than the old bladed fan I was hoping to replace (as it was too noisy and keeping me awake). VERY noisy even on the lowest setting - was like a jet plane taking off o nthe highest! When on oscillate it was horrendous. Contacted seller, who gave fantastic service and even sent a replacement to try - which was just as noisy. Got full refund.

Good, quiet fan,

We were looking for a tower fan and bought this one as it was a good price. It was easy to put together (just build the base). It's quiet and gives enough air for us to put in our daughter's bedroom. The timer function would be good if you want it to switch off when you're not there, but we haven't used it yet. Overall a good buy, would buy another if needed.
