This film was one of the most moving films I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! It tells a story of one family's courage when dealing with a death in the family, especially when he is a child and way too young to die. It is also a story of a young boy's courage, all the pain he went through and yet accepting that he will die young and yet stand strong. Even though the topic is grim, the film does not always focus on the negative aspects. It also focus' on the postive aspects, like when his new baby brother arrives, he lives long enough to see him, and the baby is born without haemophilia (which all the other brothers have, and is the reason as to why Ben has AIDS). Also the Grandfather makes the child's coffin (which shows the family's tight bond). The acting is also top-notch, notably from Linda Hamilton and Richard Thomas as the devoted parents who has to deal with their son's early death (NO PARENT SHOULD BURY THEIR CHILD). Joshua Harris' performance as Ben Madison was exceptional. His emotions are spot on, and he really brought Ben's plight to life (well done!!!). I really would recommend this beautiful film to everyone.
