Brilliant book!!,

I love Karen Wheeler's books and had been looking forward to this one for some time. Her characters are so well written that they become as familiar as one's own friends and you really care about what happens to them. I finished this book in two sittings(which could have easily been one-I didn't want to finish it so I switched off my kindle!) The loss she describes in this book is heart-rending and yet there is such a sense of life in the text that you cannot help but be uplifted. I think Ms Wheeler is a truly gifted author,her descriptive passages and her ability to sum up a character or a situation in a few words are signs of true talent! I really hope she writes the next one soon.To anyone who hasn't read them already, I urge you to buy these books....you will not be disappointed!!

Karen has done it again!Delighted with my Christmas Kindle, I have just found and downloaded 'Tout Soul', the third episode in Karen's French odyssey. Once again I found my self gripped by he writing. The detail (so many things that this man just doesn't notice) and the emotion conveyed made the book 'unputdownable'. I gorged myself and finished the book in two sittings and find myself wanting more! I trust you've started 'Tout **********', episode 4, Karen?? Please? Paul Millen

Like the other reviewers so far, I went through this book very quickly. Once again, a fascinating read, with several memorable characters. But how very sad that Karen's life was thrown into so much turmoil, and how well and poignantly she described her feelings at such an awful time.I look forward, via her blogs, to hearing about how Karen carries on with her life, very much hoping that she will experience true happiness and contentment in the years to come. And if she ever needs a sitter for Biff..... |
