I am really pleased with this book. We have several different guide books from other popular guide book series but this is my favorite. It is divided into four sections : maps, travel planning, information about France as a destination, and the main section (which is more like a gazeteer) of french towns and places. These are arranged alphabetically, with star ratings and colour photographs. I know this does not suit everyone, but it makes the book very easy to use.
Also, unlike other guide books, it does not include loads of restaurant guides or accomodation listing (Michelin produce a seperate guide for these) which we dont tend to use, we wanted a book to help us plan which areas of france to explore, and this book is perfect.
