A useful resource for planning a trip.It is surprising though, that it is not written in colloquial English. It reads occasionally as a translation, which is sad. The good old Michelin is still very French! And it shows! But I still buy it!

I bought Michelin guides to both Germany and Belgium - totally satisfied but the Chateaux of Loire is totally misleading. the book involves towns/cities of interest,as well as a great variety of other buildings in the region but not, as I had expected, a great deal on the Chateaux, as the title suggests. Only a few chateaux have full details for the tourist viz how to get there by any means of transport - train, bus, coach or car which is something tourists want to know. Even the section on "getting there and getting around" is minimal in detail, unless one is travelling by car!

An interesting guide, with lots of very good photos and comments.

However, the quality of the paper was poor. Tourist guides should be able to stand up to a certain amount of rough handling.
