Compelling Lyrics- this is amazing! 22 July 2003
By A Customer - Published on
Format: Audio CD
In a world filled with catchy beats and shallow lyrics, Chris Emerson comes forth with substance, something to say and a melody to enhance his message. Chris Emerson's self titled album is challening in that he explores various sides of himself and dives into depths other artists fear to enter.
My favorite song on the album is "Don't Wanna Cry Again" (track #7) which with strong vocals and guitar captures the part of you that wants to move on in life, yet can't quite get past the memories.
His new single, "Baby's Gone" is a piano ballad that makes time stand still. Listen for yourself and you will understand that this artist, Chris Emerson has the talent and creativity to capture moments and feelings like no one else in this business.

A MUST HAVE CD! 10 Sept. 2003
By A Customer - Published on
Format: Audio CD
I first heard about Chris Emerson when he opened for Foreigner a month ago. He has the best band I've ever heard. He blew Foreigner away!!! I felt bad for them. I was extremely impressed with his live show, and was compelled to by the CD. It hasn't left my car since. His voice is awesome, it's very powerful and soulful, and his lyrics are very heartfelt. One gets the impression he really believes what he is saying- a very rare quality in todays cookie cutter offerings. Every song on this 13 track disc is just as good as the next. I read he was in the studio for a year making this CD, and it shows! Theres not a bad song on here. The bonus track is the BEST version of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas," I've ever heard. He makes it his own! With 3 TOP 40 hits, which have won songwritting contests to boot, you can't loose. This guy should be MORE famous... I don't get it. He blows John Mayer away! Buy it today!!

Hot and Sexy look out girls he also a Nice Guy 24 Nov. 2003

After meeting Chris around down town Nashville and listening to a bit of his music I just had to buy this his first CD. He is currently working on his second. Not only is he super sexy with great eyes and a gorgeous smile, he is a super nice guy who no doubt is going to be a star one day. His versatile range is going to make him a winner, this guy can melt your heart and dip into your soul. Talking to a woman's heart with songs like Beautiful Dreamer, This Could Take All Night, Don't Let Go and Broken Heart. Not exactly Country or Pop, more like City Music that anyone can listen to and appreciate.
ps Chris if your not married and don't have a girlfriend would you like one? Can't blame a woman for dreaming of looking at that gorgeous face and those beautiful blue eyes. He is truly an awesome looking guy with a beautiful voice.

One of the best CD's of the year 7 Aug. 2003

I am a big fan of guys like Don Henley, Richard Marx and great songwriters in general. Originally, I saw Chris play in a local place in Boston and bought the CD at his gig last year. I just bought this one because of the 2 new songs on it. Both of which are well worth it. This guy has a ton of catchy songs on the album, my favorite being "Broken Heart". Great CD. This guy should be a big star soon.

I've got Chris Emerson's 'tourist' album and it's one of my favorites! Hasn't left my CD changer for quite some time now. I hear that this is now repackaged with 2 new songs. I'm very excited to hear that.
This guy has a very nice sound and alot of integrity, he will definitely be going somewhere very fast...
