Tough Talk 2 Aug 2009
Format:Paperback
Not read the book myself, but know about the men involved. I actually bought the book for a guy I know who maybe finding it difficult to believe in God and how God changes lives. He is an ex 'bouncer'. Maybe to me, he feels 'tough guys' don't accept Christ...this book tells you Christ is for EVERYONE. Bible says 'God humbles the pride'.

What a change! 26 July 2001
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
This book is a real testament to the life-changing power of God at work in the lives of ordinary men. Really readable, the story is exciting and challenging. A great book for Christians and Non-Christians alike, it's a brilliant witness. You can relate to the stories of these men if you've come from a broken home, been into drugs or drink, been a fighter or a clubber - it's so accessible. It made me cry, it made me laugh - I highly recommend it. Fits in brilliantly as an alternative to the mindless violence of The Guv'nor and the like, the violence is sometimes as shocking, but luckily the outcome is more inspiring!

Deliverance 23 Sep 2011
Format:Paperback
This is a collecton of true life stories from 3 men who had in common violent lifestyles, heavy weight lifting and steroids. Drugs were on the agenda and alcohol which damaged their relationships and meant their lives were out of control. They were hard men who may have looked tough on the outside but inside were damaged, broken and searching. Each then had an experience with God which dramatically turned things around for them. Now they are changed people no longer involved in violence alcohol and drugs. Their minds and relationships have been restored due to experiencing the power and love of God and accepting Jesus as Lord and saviour.
