Having used Kat Blacks Golden Tarot for the last four years professionally, I thought I would never need a another Tarot Deck as they have served me very well indeed. But when I heard she had brought out a new deck "Touchstone Tarot," I could not resist ordering them to see how she could have possibly topped Golden Tarot. They are stunning they have a very different energy which I found exciting, the faces draw you in and really speak to you. They are the Golden Tarot come of age. I would recommend them to any beginner as they are very easy to read. I tried her Lovers Knot Spread which she outlines in the book, the results were outstanding and I had a very happy client who could see her relationship more clearly. The Cards are larger than her previous deck which didn,t bother me, and as usual they are beautifully edged with gold. Kat has surpassed herself with this deck, do buy them the characters on the cards come to life in your hands and as she says you will have 78 new friends.
I also like the extra card "The Happy Squirrel" and have used it in my readings as a 79th friend. What more can I say they are stunning, stunning, stunning. If I could give 10 star rating I would. Thank you Kat and also your secret benefactor without whom the deck would not be in existence.

From the creator of the 'Golden Tarot' the Touchstone tarot is an elegant and profound deck with deep hues and stunning imagery that has been collaged using baroque masterpieces. The deck has a serious, friendly and personal feel and the people really do give the impression of 78 friends in your hand.

The cards are based on the Rider-Waite deck with the difference that every card features a person who conveys their meaning to you by look and pose. The figures and imagery will captivate you in and draw you in and allow you to read the cards from a different angle allowing more room for interpretation. Because just as you read the body language of people around you, you will find that you can read and understand the body language of the people in the cards too.

The cards are edged in gold and have a stiff, robust feel without a plasticy laminate feel (which would ruin them) and they come in a very well made, thick box with an easily accessible lid. The box also contains a lovely little book which explains the picture, meaning and the painting sources that each card was made up from (its a collaged deck). This deck is better suited to somebody who has a reasonable knowledge of the the Rider-Waite deck because the picture symbolism isn't as obvious as the Rider-Waite deck.

This deck also features a 'Happy Squirrel' card, a traditional humour that was started by the TV cartoon show 'the Simpsons'.

Although a more expensive than usual, this luxurious deck is worth the extra cost.

I got this deck early last week and am blown away by the beauty of the images. Kat Black has done a stunning job collaging together old paintings by the masters. It is just so beautiful to look it, I never want to put the cards away after a reading. The little box they come in is wonderfully done, too. Kunati did a stunning job with this. Finally a deck that is as beautiful as I'd hoped for. I can't say enough about it, Kat, there's nothing else in my collection of over 50 decks that even comes close to this. I may have to buy another one just to look at, or frame some of the cards.

Kat Black has designed a new Tarot deck - all hail the Queen! Truly one of the most beautiful and unique tarot decks I have ever used. Using this deck is like taking a trip to an art gallery, each card is a painting within a painting. I now use this deck in all my professional readings as well as with my students due to the intuitive nature in which they were created - they literally open a doorway to greater intuitive understanding of the Tarot. My students love this deck because they can begin to read for themselves instantly. The mesmerising faces found within The Touchstone Tarot are extremely expressive and literally feel like familiar friends as they urge you to look deeper into the patterns and relationships of your life. The heavy gold gilt edged cards feel solid and reassuring in your hands. A beautiful job Kat, a satisfying Tarot deck in every way.

I just received my new Touchstone Tarot Deck and am very impressed! Kat Black has done it again! I also have her Golden Tarot Deck which I recommend highly for rich, colorful, & easy to recognize Tarot images for beginners and the more experienced devotee alike. The new Touchstone Tarot is a bit more for the advanced reader, but well worth buying. Each image has been carefully selected to convey the meaning of the card through the eyes of the master portraits. I find it a more personal deck, many of these Mediveal portraits are people you feel you know. The cards are large, and trimmed in gold, a bit more challenging to handle since they are sized larger than typical playing cards. But if you want a thoughtful and inspiring Tarot experience you can't find a better deck. For the collectors: I think these are frame-able art cards and intend to buy another deck to display in my study. I still love my Golden Tarot which has more reds and golds, but this darker Touchstone Tarot may be my new favorite! Thank you Kat Black!
