More About the Author

Anne Rainey sold her first category length novel to Samhain Publishing in 2007. Since then she's sold several more stories to Samhain and three stories to Red Sage Publishing. In addition, Anne recently sold a novella and two single titles to Kensington Aphrodisia.

Anne grew up in a small town in central Ohio the only girl with three rowdy, older brothers. When she wasn't playing tackle football with them she could be found tucked away in her mother's book room getting lost in mysterious worlds created by authors such as Martha Grimes and Andrew M. Greeley. She's had a variety of odd jobs including Chiropractic Assistant, Frame Stylist, Restaurant Hostess, and Nail Technician.

Anne now lives with her fabulous husband, two gorgeous teenage daughters, two ornery dogs and three snooty cats. When she's not dressing, feeding, cleaning or spending time with them, she can be found at the computer writing stories hot enough to make your toes curl!

I read this book based on a number of reviews. The basis of the story is girl gets ditched several times, girl turns to her best friend for comfort, best friend is in love with her, girl realizes attraction to best friend and ................

This was not a good story. It was boring, seemed like the author didnt think too much about what she was writing. Disappointing read and I wont be rushing to buy any other of Anne Rainey's books

This is a pseudo romance with erotica, and I nearly quit it a couple of times, but it was short and so I persisted.

It was incredibly cheesy: girl finds boyfriend with her best female friend showering each other, kicks them out and regrets the loss of the friend more than the boyfriend. Enter her male best friend who turns up to try to cheer her up, only for them to both discover that they are in lust with each other.

Mechanical sex scenes, an attraction that I really couldn't see, mention of 'bedroom callisthenics' and a couple of other cheesy things and I found myself skim-reading the last bit.

I will be reading the books I paid for, but not any more in this series.

Great read. Didn't want to put it down. Just enough sex talk to make it interesting and not lewd. Well done.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fab Short Story 2 April 2013

This book is recommended to folks out there that want a short read with a quick fix!! It's well written and you automatically understand and know each character in the book. I think this could be a beginning to a series of books by Anne Rainey and I will look forward to them. It's complete escapism and as it's a short story I didn't want to put it down until I had finished reading it.
