I was given this book and told, "it's great, you'll want to read it in one sitting". That much is true. It's the story of a man whose interest in pornography finally compels him to try his hand at directing it. It's filled with pretty vulgar but hilarious incidents, and the author (it's 'anonymous') has a good turn of phrase when dealing with the various people he meets along the way. I reckon there's only two things wrong with this book, and neither of them hamper it more than the smallest amount. The first is that because this is apparently true to life, the author uses real characters but with altered names. The altered names that he chooses are often quite generic (Freddy, Dave and so on) and it can become tricky to remember who's who. The second minor quibble is that this guy got into pornographic directing in no way 'accidentally'. From the first it's painted as a conscious choice. As I say, hardly enough to ruin the book. Did I read it in one session? No, I fell asleep in the middle as it was two in the morning, but I'd still give it a very high 'addiction' rating!
