Product Description

Review

"'It has a really simple layout full of 1 hour lessons to type up with a reference guide at the back of the book which is very helpful. Worth the money!' 'This book really delivers on its promises. It cannot help you learn to touch type if you put in no effort, but if you do the basis is there for marked improvement. I couldn't touch type at all when I started using this book and now my technique is almost perfect.'" --Reader review

Excellent. This book gives a clear and practical way to learn and practice touch typing entirely to fit your own schedule and with additional guidance about Microsoft Word and different documents. To me it is better and simpler than computer programmes which try to control what you do and learn. You can use any computer, not just your own. No need to clutter your computer with a program you do not really need. Of course it is also easy to share with your family and friends which is not the case with some computer programmes.

My daughter cannot wait to get started on her touch-typing. This book is so accessible, it is just exactly what I wanted. The layout is clear, each hour progresses clearly from the previous one, and you can repeat the hour's lesson two or three times until you have perfected it, so that it can be a 20-hour course, or a 30-hour course etc. I did a 10-day course, 3 hours a day, many years ago, at the end of which I could touch-type at 35 words a minute. This course seems to be very similar and my daughter and I are both very excited, as she longs to be able to type properly!

Bought as a gift 10 May 2010
Format:Paperback
I bought this book for my mum and she is thrilled with it. She is currently doing a basic computer course and she told me it links very much to what she has been learning. The only thing she said to me negative was that she wished she'd had it earlier in the course as it is brilliant.
