Here we offer you a replacement Touchscreen for your Nintendo DS Lite. You don´t need any soldering skills for the exchange, but to open the shell you might need a special tool called Tri-Wing screwdriver. We offer this tool as well.

The speed of delivery was excellent from this company. I didn't realise how difficult it would be to fit this item. In the end I had to send the Nintendo away in pieces to another company for them to put it all back together again!

I had to get a new touch screen for the DS Lite so I purchased this one. Basically, if the touch screen is not responding but you can still see the image, it is only the touchscreen and not the whole bottom screen. It was well packed and came with protective coatings. You have to buy the tri screw driver separately, so, I bought a set that came with a series of different types of ends that work with a few items I have.
I went to youtube and followed instructions on how to change the touch screen and it was quite easy. I live in the islands (Caribbean), so it would cost me too much to ship it and have it returned, so I pulled a do-it-yourself.
Needless to say, the screen is working again flawlessly.

Saw a couple odd complaints in reviews. One that it doesn't work, which is simply not true. The person who wrote that was doing something wrong. The other is that it lacks a protective layer of some sort. The original screen didn't have one, so I'm not sure why they would expect it to come with a protective layer the original DS never had. They might mean their stick on bezel/border, but as this matches the color of the DS, and DS's come in all different colors, it can't be expected to come with this product. Anyway, you don't need a new one, you just peel off the original and stick it on your new screen.
As far as the product goes, it gets five stars from me. It cost me $5 total, including shipping, and it works exactly as it did when the original touchscreen was working. I suppose it's a little bit tricky to install, but anyone with a little finesse can manage it. There are some excellent youtube videos up that show the process. This is what I used to do it. Took me about ten minutes to complete the repair, not counting the time it took to watch the video.
Anyway, good product, good price.

Good screen, no cover.

I bought this screen because my eight year old stabbed her DS Lite to death with a pencil. The price was awesome. I watched a tutorial on Youtube about how to take the DS Lite apart. Once I got it apart I realized that I would also need a protective cover for the touch screen. I felt like this should have been supplied with the screen. I looked around on the net and couldn't find the special protective piece. I just put the DS Lite back together without the protector. I doubt I will have anymore problems from the DS Lite before it's obsolete anyway. I don't understand why people want to protect soon to be obsolete electronics anyway.
Overall I think this is a good screen and it will save you a lot of money. My daughter has used this screen for six months now with no problems. Last time I saw it, it was covered in chocolate.
