Not a stand-alone game but an expansion to Flying Frog's excellent A Touch of Evil. You get a lot for your money though: a new board that fits beside the original, doubling the playing space; three new Corner Locations, new Town Items to buy from the Monastery and four new Heroes and four Villains; there are also extra cards for the decks in the original game and lots of new pieces, including new plastic miniatures.

The expanded map changes the game's dynamic instantly. The core game was charming but the limited playing area could easily become a repetitious merry-go-round as players circled the Manor, Windmill, Woods and Fort, waiting for the bad guy to show up. The new map has a central lake and Lost Island, a spooky Inn and a corrupt Monastery. The Monastery is a bit "out on a limb" - hard to reach or get back from - so there is the option of a secret passage from the Manor to the Monastery, letting players zip across the board like in Cluedo. The "water paths" to the Island require high movement rolls to cross. Players will have to think a bit harder about where they go, because careless moves can place a Hero far from the action.

Fortunately, the new Locations are worth visiting. You can get minor healing or free Investigation Counters at the Inn; its cards mostly feature haunted rooms or mysterious fellow-guests. The Monastery has some powerful gear for sale, especially stuff that boosts your Spirit trait and a flail that gives you +2 Combat. The Guides you can pick up there can be discard to re-draw a Location card: great for pinning down the Villain in a final Showdown.

If you like touch of evil in the 1st place then this expansion comes handy when more then 5 players are playing.
Pack comes with vicious new monsters, cool cards and new heros. Great game.
What bedazzles me is that expansion map has opened space that indicates connection on to new board.
So are we looking into expansion pack v2 soon?

If you have A Touch Of Evil, then this expansion is very well worth considering.
The box is loaded - you get quite a lot here. You will get another board to use alongside the original in the base set - doubling the size of the map.
    You get more investigators.
You get more Villains - some quite challenging ones too.
You get more location cards - for the new locations as well as boosts to those in the core set of locations.
Plus all the decks from the base game have additional cards to add from this expansion.
A Touch of Evil is an excellent game, both played competitively or cooperatively. This expansion provides a massive boost to that, without radically changing anything, but including some very decent additions to your basic experience.
For the price this represents excellent value, and fans of A Touch Of Evil will appreciate what they get here.
