"Touch Me", the classic 1986 debut album from perennial pop icon and pin-up Samantha Fox, is given a Deluxe Edition reissue on Cherry Pop. "Touch Me" features four UK hit singles: the international smash "Touch Me (I Want Your Body)" (#3 UK and #4 US), "Do Ya Do Ya (Wanna Please Me)" (#10 UK), "Hold On Tight" and "I m All You Need". Immediately establishing Samantha s signature pop-rock sound, the album was certified gold on its original release, reaching #17 in the UK and #24 in the US. Digitally remastered direct from the master tapes, this Deluxe Edition brings together the original 10-track album with an incredible 27 bonus tracks across two CDs. Presented together with Samantha s later work and on CD for the very first time are her early recordings for Lamborghini Records with her first band SFX - "Rockin With My Radio", "Aim To Win" and "Holding". Bonus tracks also include rare B-sides and many sought-after 12" mixes, the majority of which have never before been released on CD. Compiled with personal input from Samantha herself, the extensive booklet also features reversible cover art, many additional photos, a fully illustrated discography and recording data, full lyrics and new sleeve notes written especially for this release. The only British female artist to score three Top Ten hits on both sides of the Atlantic in the 1980s, Samantha Fox made her name as the nation s favourite Page Three girl before launching an enviable music career. The anthemic "Touch Me (I Want Your Body)" became a global chart-topper in 1986 and was followed by a succession of hits, including several collaborations with both the legendary Stock Aitken Waterman and US hip-hop pioneers Full Force. Samantha remains a household name, with a new album planned for 2012 and live dates across Europe. "Touch Me" coincides with accompanying Deluxe Editions of Sam s other three Jive albums: 1987 s "Samantha Fox", 1989 s "I Wanna Have Some Fun" and 1991 s "Just One Night", and follows many other popular PWL-related reissues on Cherry Pop from artists such as Mel & Kim, Sinitta, Hazell Dean, Sonia, Boy Krazy, Brother Beyond, Pepsi & Shirlie and O chi Brown.

When I saw the 4 Samantha Fox deluxe editions advertised, I immediately pre-ordered the other 3, but I wasn't really interested in this one. Then I figured it would be nicer to have all 4 as a set, so I bought this too. When they arrived I was really surprised to find that this one was so good. In fact, it is one of the better ones. I already had the Japanese 12" Singles collection CD, but it didn't include "I'm All You Need" which is much better than I remembered and the Vixen mix of "Do Ya Do Ya" from the remix 12" is also particularly good. Fans will be pleased to finally get the original 12" mix of "Touch Me" on CD which is like a longer version of the single and far superior to the horrible Blue mix (which was largely instrumental and took until 4:25 for the chorus to come in, only to end a minute later!). The only tracks I didn't like were the remix of "Suzie" and "Aim To Win", but the rest was brillant and I'm pleased I bought it. It's a really comprehensive collection of not only the original album, but also the 7" mixes, 12" mixes, and remixes, plus you even get the instrumentals. Cherry Pop did well with these Samantha Fox CD's and I can recommend them all as the definitive versions.

Whilst the guys were 'ogling' Ms. Fox for 'bigger things' and missing her real talent - I was buying her records!
This was one of several great albums from the former Model who proved she could not only show off her body - but sing as well - and she couls really do it too! Unlike today of course, this was not so easily come across in those days.
She burst into the charts with a massive catchy number called: 'Touch Me' - featured here on this fab. album. It was also done as a great 12" single - and also as a limited edition on velvety blue vinyl too! Several more hits followed on from this album. This also includes a cover version from the earlier pop group: 'Tight Fit' - 'Baby I'm Lost For Words', and featuring some very good and catchy album material. This made me want to buy her follow-up album which was simply self-titled.
For me, Sam Fox will always be best-remembered for her pop career.

Don't take this CD seriously and you'll love it! It's fun and has some great pop tunes that you may have forgotten about. Touch Me, Do Ya Do Ya Wanna Please Me, All You Need and Hold On Tight were all hits but the CD also offers some great album tracks such as Baby I'm Lost For Words and the ultimate crap pop song - Suzie Don't leave me With Your Boyfriend!! So bad it's good. Sam was an eighties icon and this album was a bit of fun that turned into a career changing experience for her. Sam went on to be a massive success in the USA. Where she was an unknown and was only judged on the music she was producing. So there must have been something more to her than just being a page three Stunna! A corker of a pop album in my opinion.
