Set in the town of Denton, A Touch of Frost focuses on Detective Inspector Frost and his long-suffering Superintendent Harry Mullett (Bruce Alexander). Based on the novels by R.D. Wingfield, this long-running British crime drama features award-winning actor David Jason as Jack Frost; a man of unconventional methods and a gruff manner that often draw acrimony from suspects and fellow policemen alike. But no one can dispute the efficiency of Frost's techniques. This collection includes the episodes of series 15 - the final series to be made, in which one of British television's most acclaimed characters hangs up his hat and retires from Denton CID. Note: Includes an alternate ending exclusive to DVD.

I'm a yank. I learned of DI Frost a few years ago. I bought my first collection of Frost dvds in region 1 USA but this last in region 2 which I can play on my all region player. I couldn't wait for this last one to come out in region 1.
The first of the Frost series was so good I bought all the rest of them. The themes and personal parts of the plots were always interesting. The series is worthy of re-watching and I do that from time to time. Always depth in plots although some are more to my interest but none are uninteresting. Unexpected parts in the plot, ponderable personal events. Always well done from cinematography, music, plots, acting, directing and editing. There has always been more to Frost storys than entertainment in the mystery genre.
The 3rd ending is in the tradition of British mystery novels and tv series in my opinion but all 3 endings are worthy.

They saved the best till last. This is a fast paced series with a few twists and turns. Frost,like Morse will be missed.There is another alternative ending exclusive to this DVD. To find out what it is, you must buy it! An excellent end to a brilliant series!A Touch of Frost Series 15 [DVD] [2010]

The end of probably the best TV series ever. I doubt if there will be other series that can match Frost for quality TV.Sir David Jason was just superb throughout, with a fabulous supporting cast.It will be a pleasure to go back to the beginning and watch the entire series again...and again.

The conclusion to a brilliant series, David Jason is at his best as Jack Frost. Only regret is that there isn't a series 16.

A great final bow
David Jason ended "A Touch of Frost" in the manner to be expected - 'He's for Real' with a Touch of Frosty Humour. Sad to see him go.

A Touch of Brilliant Frost
The story line and the acting in this 15th series was well up to standard if not better. Perhaps like Sir David Jason itimproves with age.

I recommend this DVD highly. Frost is always a joy to watch, with good storylines and superb acting.
