About the Author
Michael Rosen, MA, PhD, is one of the most popular contemporary poets and authors of books for children. Chinlun Lee graduated from the Royal College of Art in London and is the author/illustrator of The Very Kind Rich Lady and Her One Hundred Dogs and Good Dog, Paw. She lives Taiwan.

Michael Rosen is SUCH a good writer and what a shame this little masterpiece is not better known. When a girl brings her special stone to nursery she is so excited, but then something else catches the childens attention and she is ignored. Miss Plumberry sees what is wrong and makes all well again, as only the best teachers do. What a lovely story and very reassuring for children. Love this book, can't rate it highly enough!

My kids named this book after their nursery teacher and asked me to read it all the time. Guess what we bought for the teacher when they broke up for the summer?! It's a really lovely book and your kids will relate to it, especially if they've just started school and 'love'their new teacher!
